Here in the Midwest, we had an unseasonably warm day, sunny skies, and a reasonable breeze, so we took our first stroll of 2016!
And….we noticed along the way that things have changed quite a bit since our last stroll back in 2015.
Normally when we begin our walks, we walk down an empty street….a cul-de-sac with nothing but grass and mud patches and rocks to look at.
This year, there are THREE new houses on the street for us to gawk at (and investigate).
Last year, Ellie was either strapped into her infant car seat which hooks onto the stroller and staring at Mommy & Daddy or sitting in the little basket seat…which also faces Mommy & Daddy.
Today she had a blast in her big-girl seating position. There was a VIEW to see! She randomly giggled as we walked along the subdivision’s sidewalk. 
As we watched Abi speed ahead of us and Eli pedal furiously to try to keep up with her, we noticed her legs never fully straightened out as she pedaled like they did last fall…another reminder that she’s growing up – whether we notice or admit it or not.
Some things have changed, and I guess we’re all a few months older. But we’re still together and thankful for a warm sunny day and walk together.
